Bio
I have built a diverse career in performance, spanning film, television, and stand-up comedy. My journey as an actor began in 2006 when I earned the Best Actor Award at the Silver Wave Film Festival for my debut role in the short film Mailbox Romance. Since then, I have taken on various roles in short films, feature films, and even a music video by Classified.
While acting remains a cornerstone of my career, I also discovered a passion for stand-up comedy, which has allowed me to develop a strong stage presence, adaptability, and the ability to engage with audiences of all ages. I have had the privilege of touring with comedian Gerry Dee, performing sold-out shows at the historic Vogue Theater, and being featured on CBC Radio One’s Laugh Out Loud.
In addition to my work on stage, I have extensive experience in television, starring in multiple national productions, including The Canoe Project on Bell FibeTV and the Halifax-produced Trailer Park Boys. I also co-created and starred in the restaurant-based comedy series O’Don’s, which has been renewed for a second season. My upcoming projects include a leading role in Revival, a Universal Studios/SYFY Channel production based on a comic book series.
Residency Project
Film Acting & Filmmaking Workshop
This 8-day intensive workshop is designed to introduce students to acting techniques for film and the fundamentals of filmmaking and promotion. Through a combination of hands-on exercises, on-camera training, and post-production work, students will develop essential skills for screen acting, storytelling, and marketing their creative projects. Each session will run for approximately 2 hours, ensuring students have ample time for both instruction and hands-on practice.
A key outcome of the workshop will be the creation of a mock movie trailer and promotional poster—giving students an opportunity to apply their learning in a tangible way. Additionally, the program will emphasize public speaking skills, helping students build confidence, presence, and effective communication abilities.
This Film Acting & Filmmaking Workshop offers an immersive and engaging learning experience that blends creative expression with essential life skills. By combining hands-on acting, filmmaking, and promotion, students will leave with not only a creative project but also enhanced public speaking abilities that will benefit them in future academic and professional settings.
Teaching Experience
Beyond my performance background, I have a deep appreciation for mentorship and education in the arts. Over the years, I have led comedy and acting workshops, helping aspiring performers build confidence, develop storytelling skills, and refine their craft. My experience on stage and screen, combined with my ability to connect with young audiences, makes me eager to share my knowledge and passion with students in the Anglophone North School District. I would be honoured to bring my experience to the classroom, inspiring and guiding middle and high school students in their artistic journeys.
