Carol Collicutt has been a practicing professional artist in New Brunswick for over 40 years. She holds two Bachelors degrees, and a diploma from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Carol has shown in solo, joint and group exhibitions throughout the Maritime Provinces, Quebec, and New York City. She taught mixed media painting in full term night courses at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, and has given many guest lectures, workshops and artist talks. In 2025 she was invited to be a presenter at the Sustainability in Artistic Practice Conference hosted by the NL Craft Council in Gros Morne National Park. She has been the recipient of multiple grants and awards, including 6 Creation grants from ARTSNB and her work is included in public, corporate, and private collections in Canada and Europe. She is represented by Gallery on Queen, Fredericton, NB.She was president of Gallery Connexion, a federally funded, artist-run centre, for 7 years and served on the board for 20 years in various capacities. She was Chair of ARTSNB from 2017 – 2021. She continues to serve on juries and committees which advance the profile and status of the arts in New Brunswick. In 2024 she was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for excellence in the arts, and in 2025 the Sheila Hugh Mackay Arts Advocacy Award.
