Marie Fox is a figurative painter whose work combines traditional techniques and iconography with ancestral mythologies and mysticism to create a contemporary narrative. Based in Fredericton, she has exhibited with several galleries in Atlantic Canada. Her current project, ‘Celestial Bodies’, was awarded an artsnb Creation Grant and will debut in 2021 at Gallery on Queen. 'Celestial Bodies' will feature Maritime landscapes and celestial skyscapes populated with figures embodying the earthly, elemental and otherworldly. Her work ‘Monument’ was featured in the Marion McCain Exhibition at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and was selected for the 2019-2020 collectionArtNB Acquisitions Aboriginal category.

If your project is no longer taking place, it’s critical that you contact the program officer as soon as possible to notify us. Depending on the situation, we can advise you of next steps. To proceed with withdrawing the project, you will need to send a cheque for the grant amount made payable to “Minister of Finance” no later than March 1. Indicate on the cheque memo or attach a letter for what program the amount is for and mail to:
