A self-taught artist, Steve Jones began experimenting with woodturning, learning techniques from a master woodturner before developing his own working methods and practices. Using broken and discarded skateboards layered in colours, his artworks comprise stratums of maple, mahogany, ash, and walnut pressed and turned into beautiful objects.
